Introduction to Sewing Webinar

http://homeschoolblogger.com/webinar/beginning-sewing/

I ran across a great webinar for my fellow crafters that would love to learn to sew.  There are a total of 4 webinars created by Janome for the Homeschooling blog.  Each webinar has attachments to work on great little projects.  Only 2 of the 4 webinars are available at this time.  You can view these webinars and learn more about the classes at the link at the top of this post.

I encourage you to try something new everyday.  As we build our schedules, we will have some great sewing classes for beginners and intermediates.  Until then, I hope these classes give you some great general knowledge about your machine.

Jam Sessions

jam09_01

We are going to start Jammin’!  We will be posting an updated calendar listing all of our Jam sessions.

Jam sessions are 2 hour sessions that are focused on a particular tool or technique.  The Jam sessions will focus on what the herd wants to know and learn.

Jam sessions will include: Cricut basics, using the sizzix, inking techniques, threading your sewing machine, embossing, and much more.

So if you want to learn how to, bring your things to learn.  This  is a great time to learn how to use your tools, so be sure to bring them.

A Jam Session is included in daily pass.

I hope you like to JAM!

Miss You card template for Operation Write Home

I made this template based on the request of a hero serving.  Currently, the heroes try to send a miss you card to each of their children every week.  That is a lot of miss you cards.  This  card has a little girl in mind when I made it.  I will have another one soon for a boy.  You are welcomed to use this card any way you want.  My hopes are that you will make at least one and send it on its way to Operation Write Home.

Next, if you sending them to Operation Write Home, please if you can, make it a little different.  Do your best to print the template on good paper (preferably cardstock or cover stock).  Realize there will be a lot of others using this template, so any changes or variations you can do to this card will be great.  So break out the inks, ribbon, buttons, brads, glossy affects.  Remember no glitter, unless you really have too, you can use stickles.

The digital content is from Katie at www.justsoscrappy.blogspot.com, she wonderfully gave us permission to share her content in this form.

As always, I love to see your creations so lets link them!
